Rwanda’s songstress and actress, Shannel Nirere disregards musicians who do it for the money.
The Tusker Project Fame season 6 pre-editions judge stressed this issue recently on Magic Radio while speaking about Rwanda’s music industry.
“Money is vital of course but artists should put more work in delivering building message to the public, than focusing on what will earn them quick money,” advised the Diva.
Shannel said Rwanda has issues at hand that can only be addressed through music, the likes of drug use, poverty, name it.
Meanwhile,a good number of artists in Rwanda, record songs for money purposes.
Songs that have been pinned for wrong message include, Inyoni yaridunze,by MC Monday,Bagupfusha ubusa-by All stars, and many more.
Shannel is in the country on short holiday from her music courses in France. She is one of the popular female singers in Rwanda.
