Singer Rafiki has described his invention of Coga style as a legacy that will be remembered in years to come. The king of Coga also says that he feels proud to have come up with such a unique style that other local musicians envy. Coga is a style that incorporates afro beat and reggae beat which became a hallmark for Rafiki.
Speaking to a radio show dubbed Sunday Night, the star said, “It’s obvious that Coga will be here to stay and for a long time. I am glad that I came up with this unique and special kind of singing style.”
The star was also quick to dismiss rumors that he has dwindled along his music career, adding that he has big projects that will surprise his fans. He added, “Sometimes in this industry one may want to take a step back in order to jump higher!” Rafiki was among the first nominees of the country’s biggest singing competition Primus Guma Guma Super Star. He went past the first round, but that is as far as he went.
