Patrick Nyamitali has opened up for the first time since his shock exit at this year’s Tusker Project Fame, a singing competition that is held annually in Nairobi Kenya.
Nyamitali unexpectedly exited out a day before the grand finale, paving way for Burundi’s Hope Irakoze to win the overall prize of five million Kenyan Shillings.
Even though he accepts it was painful to lose out on the first spot, the star says there is a lot he learnt during the four and a half weeks he spent in the academy. He said, “Definitely there is something that I gained in terms of experience. The people I met there, the faculty the coaches, they were wonderful.”
Nyamitali also finds it as a great opportunity to have been able to market his name in the region, adding that it will now be easy for him to penetrate the East African market.
Meanwhile Hope has already released the video to his latest single entitled Honey. The Burundian, together with all the other semi-finalists were given a chance to record and shoot videos for their first singles.
