Legendary singer Abdul Makanyaga vowed never to participate in Rwanda’s finest music competition, Primus Guma Guma Super Star, calling it corrupt.
“I support the idea of the competition but I can never participate in it because of various reasons including injustice, age and my religion Islam,” says Makanyaga.
Makanyaga comes among the artists who have dubbed the competition corrupt, which includes the likes of Bull Dog, and Senderi International hit.
The competition aims at supporting artistes financially and promoting their music across the nation.
Makanyaga got famous in the 1970’s and he hasn’t looked back since then.
