Jay Polly and Ama G The Black end year as best of pals

Jay Polly and Ama G The Black: The two have had a turbulent relationship

Described as among the bitterest rivals in hip hop music, Jay Polly and Ama G The Black’s relationship has never been pleasant – not even once.

The two have, more often than not, exchanged words while lyrics contained in their songs have also, on many occasions, been believed to contain subtexts of insults towards one another.

Jay Polly’s hit song Ikosora is associated with this longstanding rivalry. Ikosora can be translated as Correction a track which was allegedly released to taunt Ama G. Fans of both stars more than relished that rivalry and the now-and-often exchange of words between the two rappers, but in a dramatic turn of events they have decided to put their differences aside.

Jay Polly, speaking of Ama G, said he was sorry and that he has never had any personal conflict with him. He told Sunday Night, a showbiz magazine on Isango Star FM, “I have no problem with him and if I ever said or did anything that offended him, then I am sorry.”

And this feud was always amplified in many ways. At Salax Awards earlier in the year, Ama G was controversially awarded the Best Hip Hop musician, beating Jay Polly who was the most favorite, sparking a wave of protests from a large section of followers of local showbiz.
