Kamichi questions integrityAfro beat singer Kamichi has questioned the integrity of organizers of Salax Music Awards, shortly after being nominated in two categories. The singer took to his Facebook account to express how disappointed he was that fellow musician King James’ song Ni iki Utabona was ignored in any of the thirteen categories.

King James was nominated in three categories, namely Best Male Artist, Song of the Year and Best Afro beat Artist, but his hit song Ni Iki Utabona failed to receive any recognition, something that didn’t go down well with Kamichi.

But despite that “hitch” Kamichi remains thankful and grateful for being nominated. He added, “I would like to thank the organizers of the awards for once again nominating me.” The afro beat king pin received two nominations, Best Afro beat and while his album Mudakumirwa will be in contention for album of the year alongside Igikona by Riderman, Kelele by Urban Boyz, Uteye Ubusambo by Uncle Austin and Uwo Ndiwe by Knowless Butera.
