We are not new in the industry - Active Crew

Active group

Upcoming Afro beat crew ‘Active’, warned the public to stop describing them as new entrants in the music industry. They say, they have been in the showbiz business for the past four years as dancers until they resorted to singing recently.

Active group nomination to Primus Guma Guma Super Star Season 4 was not well received by the public and showbiz fraternity on the premise that they have little experience in music.

“People should know that we have been in music industry for years, backing various established artists although we officially started music as business in 2013,” says Dereke Sano a member.

He added that, the group is ambitious musically and nothing will stop them until they make it to the top.

The group is made up of three young talented musicians Tizzo, Dereke and Olivis formerly dancers for several artists including King James.

The group tasted the lime light late in 2013 when their hit song, Udukoryo, featuring rapper Danny Nanone rocked local airwaves. The trio boasts of songs like Mwiza, Udukoryo and Ayaiya.
