Singer Auddy Kelly thanks God for saving him during the Genocide

RnB singer Auddy Kelly says he thanks God for saving him from the hands of ruthless killers during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Kelly, who was a toddler by the time, says it was a miracle that he survived.

Through his Facebook page, Kelly said, “There are a lot of things that I would like to thank God for but especially the following:

  1. Although I lost many of my relatives, God decided that I survive and for that I thank Him.
  2. I was still a child by then but I wouldn’t like to see with my eyes such killings
  3. The Genocide was carried out by Rwandans and stopped by Rwandans again. While many people ask where God was, I think He is always with us because He is the one who gave us the strength to stop the Genocide.

Kelly further goes ahead to caution against any kind of complacency adding, “As long as we remember that we are still children of God, then He will always be with us and show us the way. Let’s not forget that He created us in His own image.”
