Local hip hop star P-Fla is the latest music celebrity to be arrested on allegations of drug and substance abuse.
The rapper who was arrested late last week was found in possession of marijuana, an illegal drug according to the penal code of the country.
Immediately after his arrest, stories went around the papers about his indulging into drug abuse, and although it’s not confirmed whether or not he’s guilty (the innocent until proven guilty rule), it leaves question marks and the credibility of our celebrities as future role models for the young.
P-Fla is also known for his insulting language in most of his songs, a factor that has led to many labeling him a violent sycophant. However, some of his fellow musicians have jumped to his defense insisting that his arrest was a total frame-up and conspiracy to tarnish his good name.
Marshall Mampa, another local hip hop singer talked to tukabyine.com and said, “I don’t believe a single word of it. It’s pure nonsense. First of all the manner in which he was arrested shows that there is something fishy.
How can someone be arrested in the streets and they say that he was in possession of marijuana? It’s a frame up and I know he will come out clean.”
Marshall Mampa himself has tested the doors of prison, having been incarcerated for two years on allegations of public order violation.
