Wessai and Jazzy of Holy-G group
The Gakenke district-based music groups ‘Holy-G’ will soon release the solo video for the new song ‘Umutima w’Afurika’ which literally means ‘Heart of Africa’
The group is made up of two youthful young men who are apparently new comers in the music industry. Both artists are 20 year old
Their song is under production at One Thousand Hills studios and it will be out after the April Genocide Memorial week. They duo say that the song will be a hit.
Apparently, they are also preparing an audio song called ‘Amakenga’ that they feature with ‘Melion’- who is very popular in Musanze town. This song will also be out so soon.
Like many Rwandan artists, the group is struggling with funding and keeping their aspiration to stardom, which may be farfetched for now.
The message in their songs include: promotion of hard work, to love each other so as to create a peaceful Rwandan community.
Holy-G was founded in 2011. Though this group has just joined music industry, they’re already popular in Gakenke district and they are aiming to be known in the whole country in the near future.
It is made by Jean Pierre Nsengiyaremye with the stage name ‘Jazzy’ and Sabin Hagenayesu known as ‘Wessai’
