Even as the date for Salax Awards looms near, there has not been any artiste to emerge as the clear favorite to win in any given category. One of the toughest categories will be the Best RnB which does not put into consideration gender: that is, all artistes have been drawn together whether male or female.
In our list we look at three best RnB artistes that are likely to scoop away the award and why they are likely to do so. Just as the organizers of Salax Awards have opted to put them all into one category, we shall follow suit; gender notwithstanding.
1. KNOWLESS

Not really the favorite, but I strongly believe this lady has done so much given the circumstances in which she entered into a singing career. Knowles is soon to release her album entitled Uwo Ndiwe and last year she overran every single female musician that one could think of. Not that she’s going to win it but to only say she’s good would be an understatement and a derogatory remark.
2. KING JAMES
For me he is the clear favorite to win it but not without stiff competition. King James has been boosted by the recent contract signing with giant telecommunication network Airtel and that has significantly boosted his popularity. He has also embarked on a tour around the country to popularize his name which gives him an upper edge over his fellow competitors. James is a real king in RnB and his toil deserves unquestionable recognition.
3. BRUCE MELODY
If talent was anything to go by then this would be my guy. Unfortunately it’s not. Bruce has the melody, the lyrics and the voice. He’s an all round musician who composes and sings at the same time. Although he has failed to garner much fame and popularity, Bruce’s songs are all but original and wanting to listen to. Give him a couple of more years and he will definitely be one musician who will be shaking the ground.
