The Tuff Gangs are certainly setting their effort on winning the 2012 Primus Guma Guma Super Star (PGGSS) award.
“We are sure that PGGSS award come to the Tuff Gangs and we deserve this reward” says one the group members, Jay Polly said on his facebook wall.
The Tuff Gang group is made of four members namely Bull Dogg, P-Fla, Jay Polly and Green P. It became famous in 2008 for its rap style and one of the group members- Jay Polly managed to reach finals during the first PGGSS competitions in 2011.
Some of songs which have pulled crowds to the great extent include: Umunsi wi mperuka, Umushonji, uguye isari, and others.
Jay Polly is known has also made appearances and has featured with other musicians. He has also worked with the ‘Dream Boys’ in their song ‘Mumutashye’.
Through the face book messages, Tuff Gangs fans have, in great numbers backed and cheered the group’s ambition all cheering.
“We are with you and you deserve it!” One message post read. “You are extremely right my boy”, “I know it, even the last one was supposed to be yours.”
Twenty artists have been selected for the PGGSS competition. Is it possible that PGGSS season 2 will see Tuff Gangs as masters of the game? Let us wait for the really answer.
