From Vicky to Koudou: Vicky has rebranded his stage name
The writing has been on the wall all this time. The news that the singing trio The Brothers had parted ways was previously treated as a rumor but now it’s becoming almost a fact.
One of the founding members Vicky has now confirmed that he’s going to change his stage name from Vicky to Koudou, to allow himself some room for a rebirth of his career.
Since last year Vicky, Danny and Ziggy55 have been doing solo recordings and individual shows, but they have never come out in public to declare that they have officially split up.
Even then, they have on numerous occasions denied the allegations, only saying that “there is freedom in The Brothers.” But the latest news will surely continue to further fuel the speculations as Vicky (now Koudou) wants to rebrand his music.
The trio’s song Ikirori was arguably one of their best songs but their recent individual escapades compel everyone to believe that they have now split up. Last year Danny launched his own album entitled Umudendezo at Sports View Hotel, and even though Ziggy55 and Vicky were present, there was already that sense of individuality within the group.
