Rubavu town to celebrate native star Jay Luv

In an effort to show their solidarity with one of their own Jay Luv, members of a singing crew known as ‘The Same’ based in Rubavu Western Province, have organized a concert to wish him a happy new year on February 1st, thugh the former will not enjoy the benefits of the concert as he will be locked behind bars in Gisenyi Maximum Prison.

Jay Luv, who is in prison since last year, was charged with theft by a local tribunal but the full trial of his case is yet to begin pending investigations as he waits in prison. Born Munyagisenyi Serge, the star is a local sensation and a celebrity in Rubavu town.

The concert will take place at CHARGEUR MOTEL near the Rwanda – DRC border. Entrance will be Rwf500 only.

Among other artists to grace the event will be Young Grace, who also hails from Rubavu town. The female star caught many by surprise when she was nominated in the second edition of Primus Guma Guma Super Star.

Thereafter fans and lovers of Jay Luv shall proceed to pay him a visit at the prison facility to show him their solidarity.
